The Communist Library? (Background)
Welcome to my little online library. I have a very rudimentary grasp of HTML (and even less of a grasp on any coding such as for the javascript which runs this website, whose broken state should inform you of my inadequacies in this regard). With this slight understanding of HTML I've been making EPUBs of books and pamphlets which weren't already available in that format on LibCom.Org, Marxists Internet Archive (MIA), or the Anarchist Library. Once I finished making the EPUB, I'd follow the procedures that the MIA have for ebooks and email them in for them to add to their catalog, or upload them to LibCom. I'd also blast them to as many social media as I could access to advertise them (not that I was making any money on this or anything, I just wanted the work to not be in vain). So far as picking books to convert to an ebook, I generally would just add things that I wanted to read but didn't feel like navigating a website (especially since I often didn't have data or wifi and would read on my phone).
I've decided that I would use this website to upload books that I had formatted so that there would be a central, designated spot for them (beyond the ugly Mediafire Library that hosts all of them).
I've decided to format it as a blog, partially because I really need to debug my javascript and see what the hell I've done wrong to my webbed site.
